New U Women’s Clinic: The Healing Hands Project Named One of the 50 Period Heroes in 50 States

The Healing Hands Project was named one of 50 Period Heroes within the 50 states. Founder Rachel Fidino graciously accepted the honor and announced aspirations to provide even greater outreach in support of women in need. As a proud recipient of the award, The Healing Hands Project was privileged to receive an allotment of nearly 40,000 feminine pads from Always, facilitated by MSL Group, that will be donated to women in need throughout the state.

“Washington State is experiencing increased need of these necessities.” Explains Fidino. “The Healing Hands Project aspires to donate 100,000 products to our home state in the immediate future with the help of our community!”

Throughout the years of helping women, The Healing Hands Project has found that, despite the millions of pads and tampons donated to women in need, nothing compares to the dignity and newfound sense of personal worth that can be provided.

Dr. Fidino is passionate about the cause. “We are here and ready to continue and grow our mission, and ask those who want to support this effort to personally join us! Please consider donating to our cause or contribute how best you may, and know that your efforts go directly to supporting the thousands of women in need in our home state. A woman emboldened with support is more powerful than ever imagined.”

The Healing Hands Project non-profit was launched in 2016 when Dr. Fidino started talking to homeless women in Seattle about how to access feminine hygiene products. “The name was developed based on God being the ultimate healer, I’m just His hands.” she expressed.
